Malla Reddy is the founder & Chairman of Malla Reddy Group of Institutions (MRGI) who has been in the field of education for last 26 years with the aim of spreading quality education among children at the school level. With his vast experience in school education, in 2002, he established Malla Reddy Engineering College at Maisammaguda Campus. Maisammaguda campus has become a major learning centre with 18 institutions offering almost all engineering, management, MCA, and pharmacy courses. Malla Reddy Health City has been established at suraram X roads. Two hospitals namely Narayana Hrudayalayah Malla Reddy cardiology hospital (a multi speciality)and Malla Reddy Hospital (a teaching hospital)are functioning in the city for last 3 of years. A new Medical College i.e Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences approved by MCI has been inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of A.P Sri. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy for the academic year 2012-2013.Malla Reddy Group of Institutions is also established new Dental College in the same campus.

The department of Periodontics deals with motivation & maintenance of oral hygiene procedures, gingival & alveolar bone care procedures & also provides instruction & clinical experience in dealing with the etiology, diagnosis, prevention & treatment of diseases of the periodontium in adults.Various treatment procedures are oral prophylaxis, gum care surgeries, periodontal flap surgeries, alveolar bone grafting surgeries & advanced gum surgeries.

The department of Conservative Dentistry And Endodontics works with the main aim of conservation and prolonging the life of the tooth structure. A diagnostic lab is the pulse of this specialty and is provided with amenities of hematology, biochemical analysis, cytology and Histo-Pathology which helps in accurate diagnosis and treatment plan of the diseases.The department apart from Lab Investigations, also guides the students in learning the microscopic study of histological.

The BDS Course is a UG program that teaches the candidates about the dental field. This program is conducted by the Dental Council of India. BDS Duration is about 5 years which includes one year of Internship.
To get admission to the BDS course, the candidates will have to qualify for the NEET examination. Moreover, the eligibility of this course is that one must have qualified their 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, or any other elective subject with English as prescribed by the NCERT.
