Infrastructure

MRDCW provides sophisticated teaching facilities, adequate space and equipped as per recommendations of the Dental council of India (DCI) and affiliated university. The budget of approximately 200 lakhs is allocated every year for infrastructure augmentation towards upgrading or expanding the institution’s physical and technological capabilities.

Class rooms:

4 lecture halls out of which, 2 lecture halls are equipped with 65 inch interactive white digital board with well supported audio-visual aids, has a seating capacity of 200 students/delegates. Other 2 lecture halls have LED projector, black board and audiovisual aids. All lecture halls well ventilated, with computer, LAN connection, collar mic with speaker.

Seminar Halls:

6 seminar halls and 12 laboratories/demonstration halls with seating capacity of 30 students/ delegates for seminar halls are available all over the undergraduate and post graduate departments. All seminar halls are equipped with LED projectors and LAN connection.

Laboratories:

The laboratories are equipped and designed to facilitate real time learning experience for students, spacious enough to comfortably seat more than 50 students adhering to guidelines of affiliated university.

Simulation labs and training facilities:

Anatomy dissection laboratory provides students with hands –on experience in understanding the complexities of human anatomy. Histopathology labs have microscopes and a clinical training microscope attached to LCD monitor for better learning experience. 50 phantom heads in preclinical conservative dentistry lab, for training 2nd year and 4th year students for restorations and tooth preparation in a simulated environment. 3 separate phantom heads are attached for
preclinical laboratory work for postgraduate students.

Hospital facilities for clinical learning:

The campus is digitalized and has a Hospital management system; the hospital is equipped with Cift Dento Hospital management software, which helps in data transfer (Radiographs and OPG) between the departments, documentation of patient details and their treatment present and past history.

Three Radio visiography rooms for allocated for each floor of the campus for patient convenience. Extra oral radiographic equipment like Orthopantamogram (OPG) available, which improves student learning up to date dental care. Intraoral camera for diagnosis and visual examination of oral cavity Sedation unit is available in paediatric dentistry department. Implant clinic provided with separate space and room for its equipment, instruments and clinical procedures.

Operating dental microscope, soft tissue laser, casting machine, ceramic lab, milling machines and denture fabricating machine/ equipment are available according to affiliated council norms.
