- The Advanced Education program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, we adopt in our Department has its chief objective of creating a sound understanding of the principles of diagnosis and treatment planning amongst the students. The students are very well trained and taught using innovative methods in making it a stress free and concept based learning of the subject. The faculty are well trained to be more like facilitators and not just only be mere teachers. Our students are taught not only the basics as required by the Curriculum, but are also well adept with the knowledge of Latest Advances in the field of
- Students are taught the subject in a very interesting way which naturally creates Awareness and Passion on this rather `exclusive speciality` subject of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics. Continuous and regular monitoring of the students by conducting Formative and summative evaluations and teaching the nuances of how to face an exam, has been well received by our students and we are very confident in giving an excellent performance in the forthcoming examinations, our first batch of flag bearers of this institute are going to

- They are very well trained in basic wire bending excercises. In that we utilize the latest and innovative teaching methodologies like e-Library, Macro models for wire bending excercises etc. The students are well trained in various aspects of Treatment Planning as follows
- To device conceptualize, design and discuss an Ideal treatment of any malocclusion on paper
- Communicate to the patient in letting them understand the importance of Orthodontic treatment
- Treat malocclusions with removable appliances as is done by a specialist, except for the Fixed Orthodontic treatments which need further training with various mechanotherapies at a PG Level.
- Each and every student has a sound knowledge of the above and added to that all are well trained in Clinical Photography.
- These above philosophies ENSURE in delivering QUALITY treatment and education to Patients and Students respectively in bracing up further for the Post Graduate teaching and A treatment philosophy of how it is done in a PG Department is already been implemented and followed for each and every case of Fixed Orthodontics we treat. These above efforts help us to be ever motivated and be CONSTANT LEARNERS to further enhance our skills of treatment and academic orientation.
